
The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is one of Canada's largest unions, representing over 200,000 workers in the federal public sector and some private sector industries. Established in 1966, PSAC negotiates collective agreements, advocates for fair wages and benefits, and safeguards workplace rights and conditions. The Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) is a prominent union representing over 17,000 employees in the federal public service. CEIU members are found at Service Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC and also named as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada IRCC), the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB). Established to safeguard the rights and interests of its members, CEIU negotiates collective agreements, advocates for fair working conditions, and promotes professional development opportunities. Through its advocacy efforts, CEIU strives to ensure equitable treatment, job security, and improved benefits for its diverse membership. The local component of a union serves as your direct connection to support and representation in the workplace. It addresses grievances and disputes to safeguard members' rights. Additionally, local components offer vital services such as workshops and training to help enhance your skills. They also engage in community outreach and political activism, advocating for workers' rights and supporting broader union initiatives. By fostering solidarity and encouraging member involvement, local components empower you to have a voice both at work and in the community. Our local represents workers in Vaughan, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Markham. We have around 500 members in this local.
The Alliance Executive Committee (AEC) consists of the National President, the National Executive Vice-President and seven Regional Executive Vice-Presidents. The AEC is responsible for the day-to-day financial decisions of the union, overseeing campaigns, mobilizing members, defending members and preserving the rights of the union and its members in the workplace. The AEC meets once a month or as required.
The CEIU National Executive is made up of a full-time National President, a National Executive Vice-President, and 15 National Vice-Presidents (NVPs) who represent regions and portfolios across the country.
CEIU ON Regional Council (ORC) members represent and support CEIU members within their region, ensuring local voices and concerns are heard. They help strengthen communication between locals and the national union while contributing to initiatives that advance and protect members’ rights.

CEIU Local 569 Executive Team is made up of dedicated volunteers who represent and support members at the local level. They work to address workplace issues, advocate for members’ rights, and help ensure clear communication between members and the union. Their commitment helps strengthen the local and support a fair and respectful workplace for all.
