Iffat Haque for president

My name is Iffat. Some people call me “union,” some call
me “trouble,” others say I’m “nice”—and a few think I’m
just plain “stupid.”

Camar Cameron for vp of vaughan

Dear Members of Local 569,

I humbly ask for your vote as I stand for creating a space where local members, like myself, have our values and beliefs not only RESPECTED but EXPECTED. My goal is to foster education on race relations, human rights, and employment equity in all places and spaces.

During the pandemic, I became a federal worker with CEIU and reignited my passion for union activism. Since then, I have continued to support PSAC, CEIU, and OFL by participating in conferences across Ontario and Canada, from coast to coast to coast.

As the Ontario Regional HRRR Representative, I have had the privilege of supporting over 9,000 members in our region. From Thunder Bay to Windsor, I have engaged with both new and seasoned members, ensuring they are connected to culturally competent resources that truly reflect their needs. As your local president I have led with honour and grace and no humble myself to be the vice president of Vaughan.

If you ask anyone about me, they will say I am definitely authentic. I believe in being you truest self everyday. It is already a struggle to be in the Black skin I am in.

As I close, I once again ask for your vote and commit to upholding our core values of fairness and equity.

In solidarity,

Camar (Cece) Cameron

Vidya Srikanthan for vp of vaughan

Why I am running for Vice President of Vaughan?

I’m putting my name forward for Vice-President because I believe

in strategic, clear, and grounded leadership that puts members

first. It’s not about being the loudest in the room—it’s about

knowing how to listen, speak with intention, and move issues

forward.

I lead with steadiness, not ego. Members deserve a calm, consistent voice who listens closely and acts with purpose. With a strong background in communications and public relations, I know how to speak on behalf of others with clarity, confidence, and respect. I believe in raising concerns in a way that commands attention without creating unnecessary friction—so that issues are addressed, not dismissed.

I’m especially passionate about negotiation. I’m always learning

how to use strategic, tactful techniques to help us get what we need: fairness, dignity, and tangible wins for members. Whether it’s workload, health and safety, equity, women’s issues, psychological safety or human rights—I believe in advocating for our collective agreement to be more than words on paper.

I want it to be a living, breathing standard that protects us.

Above all, I lead with empathy. I know what it feels like to not be

heard—and that’s exactly why I want to be the person who listens,

who acts, and who never forgets that our power comes from each

other.

Keerthini Mohanathas for secretary

I am proud to be running for the position of Union Secretary. In less than a year as a steward, I’ve taken on key leadership roles and made meaningful contributions to our union. I currently serve as the Interim Chief Steward, Chair of the Bylaw Committee, and an active member of the executive team.

I’ve completed two out of three mandatory steward training courses—Talking Union Basics and Grievance Handling—and am currently awaiting Duty to Accommodate. I also had the privilege of attending the Sisters in Strength conference in London, Ontario in May 2025, further strengthening my advocacy and leadership skills.

I have direct experience participating in LUMCC meetings with management, advocating for member concerns at the table. As Chair of the Bylaw Committee, I am currently leading the effort to update and modernize our bylaws, ensuring they reflect the needs of our membership.

If elected as Union Secretary, I will remain fully committed to the responsibilities of this role and continue the work I’ve started—bringing transparency, accountability, and strong communication to our union.

I respectfully ask for your support.

William Lee for secretary

My name is William, also known as Will. Most would say I am up to no good but that is just nonsense. I am always up to doing good.

Been with the federal government since 2021 and before that 6 years in private and public healthcare in leadership roles.

It is a known fact that leaders need great workers and it just so happens that I, William, am a great worker and wonderful team player who is running for Secretary to ensure our leadership has the proper aid and assistance in helping them succeed.

Vote for me cause where there is a Will, there is a Way, the right way :)

Sincerely,

William Lee
